Reminder: Joe's Pub on Feb. 19th!
Popping in to help you not forget to remember to get your tickets
Hello my dears,
As promised, I’m poking my head out of my winter hiatus to remind you to get your tickets to my very, very special show at Joe’s Pub on February 19th!
This will be a solo show in one of the best sounding rooms in New York City. I’ll be debuting some brand new songs that no one has heard, and it’s going to be a particularly raw and intense set list. This one’s going to be one for the books.
And if you’re not in New York, please please please tell any New York friends you have. It’s hard as fuck to promote these days and people are hard as fuck to convince to commit to things, so your personal vouch and recommendation to some dear friends in the area will go far further than me giving Meta my money to run ads that will probably get censored for ruining some Nazi’s boner anyway.
Here are some pictures from my last Joe’s Pub show, because everyone likes pictures. (Photos by Eric Lindberg)
I’ll be back in February with more full essays for you. Gosh, there’s a lot to write about.
Until then, hope you’re all staying alive and staying awake. Sending you hugs through this odd ether.
In debaucherous camaraderie,
🪶Rachel Lark
What you can expect from The Larkstack
Every Monday, I’ll be sharing a weekly essays! Some will be free and some will be for paid subscribers and patreon supporters only. I’m on a brief break now, but these will return in February.
These posts are all thoughts in process. Expect my views to change and morph and solidify and stray and evolve.
I’ll also share announcements about life as an artist; things like show announcements, music releases and new merch.
Announcements
NYC! Come see me perform a special solo show at Joe’s Pub on February 19th! Tickets are on sale now.
My dear friend, Jessamyn Fitzpatrick (of 🎶Jessamyn🎶 fame) has started her own Substack! It’s called (Re)Scripting Sex! If you missed it, go check out our collaboration last week where we discussed the book Existential Kink. Subscribe now!
Becoming a paid subscriber of The Larkstack or supporting me on patreon is SO DOPE! It’s what allows me to not only keep writing these essays but also create all of the music, theater, film and experiences that I create. So if you’re not signed up yet, and you get value out of the stuff I put out in the world, just think about it :)
Thank you all for being here!
